Introduction

Dear Readers,

This is the second Street Hunt video posted by Street Hunters! In this video, I will visit another part of Rethymno in Crete and use a Wide Angle prime pancake lens to capture moments with a more dramatic effect.

In contradiction to video quality in the Street Hunt No1, the video quality this time is much better. I am now using an action camera that has optical steadyshot technology, producing a less shaky result. Of course the viewing angle is much wider, that is in part how steadyshot is achieved, but I think that the outcome is much more acceptable.

The video is all about the choices that a Street Photographer must make. I analyse most if not every decision I take and I try to explain why I choose to take a photograph. Sometimes the explanation makes sense and others not, please forgive me, but Street Hunters do work on instinct most of the time, since they have to “play” an unpredictable game with an unknown outcome.

That’s all for now, please check out the video and let me know what you think of this 2nd attempt!

NOTE: This is in no way an affiliate linking article. Street Hunters do not share affiliated material and if we ever will, we will let you know. For this reason this post doesn’t offer links to the objects mentioned. You can easily find everything with a simple Google search. If you don’t feel like reading, I have prepared a video in which I read the blog post for you. You can find that video at the bottom of the post.

Introduction

Dear Readers,
The Holidays are upon us and it is a time of joy and gifts! A time where we usually get new things or even better we are given new things! As Street Photographers, most of us are also gadget enthusiasts and in search for the perfect camera accessories. We keep on finding ourselves on shiny eshops looking through they goodies and making our wish lists. Some of us might have basic needs, like a new camera, but others are out searching for that one thing (or many things) that will make all the difference to them the next time they are out on the street, taking photographs. What is on your wishlist this Holiday season? Have you thought about it? Well, I have thought about it and have come up with a short list. In addition I also asked the other Street Hunters what they would like for Christmas as well as some other photographer friends and this is the list filled of their awesome ideas, ideas which you might find useful!

Introduction

Dear Readers,

This time around instead of writing a blog post about Street Photography, I will show you a video that I recorded. This video is the first official Street Hunters “Street Hunt”! In other words it is just me walking around, talking a lot and shooting photos!

As you will see in the first minute of the video, I have purchased a small Hot Shoe to Tripod adapter or accessory. So, using that thing I have managed to connect my old beat up Flip Camera to the hot shoe of my NEX-6. That way anything my camera sees, the Flip Cam sees and records while I am on the move.

Watching this video you will get a hands on Street Hunt experience as seen through my eyes and processed through my senses. You will see what I decide to photograph, listen for what reasons I take my photos and how my images finally turn up. The photos that have been made during this Street Photography walk are not all high quality photos that I would easily share in Social Media, but they are part of the experience of this Street Hunt so I am sharing them happily with you. Some of these photos, at least two that I can think of, will be shared as photos in future posts of mine for Street Hunters.
