Introduction

We have been blown away by the amount and quality of submissions to the Street Hunters Monthly Theme Contests, and each month has brought a new cavalcade of eye candy for us to behold. Roy Rozanski, Kristof Vande Velde, Christoph Wuzella, Sreejith Kaviyil, Zlatko Vickovic and Svilen Nachev have given us the cream of the crop through for the first six months, and they have clearly set the tone. With each month, the act of choosing becomes a more blissfully arduous task because of the standard set by the previous winners and the influx of quality work.

The calendar turned to July, the third episode in a five-month stretch where the Monthly Theme Contests will be focused on colors. As the weather started heating up, the theme got cool with color blue. But were the submissions to be cool as well?

Indeed they were! We were hit with a blast of blue, and once again, tough decisions had to be made. And once again, as we climbed into the ring to take blow after blow of blue, we knew the winner had to be more than just a snap with blue in it. Constantinos Arvanitis brought it all together with his winning shot, giving us his work that not only nailed the color, but also married it with impeccable timing and clever composition.

Winner July 2017

Introduction

Dear Streethunters.net Readers,

July 2017 is over. It is time to announce the winner of the July 2017 Street Photography Contest!

The theme of the contest was “The Colour Blue” and we had asked you all to send in photos with examples of The Colour Blue. You responded by sending in over 70 photographs! Thank you all for submitting your lovely work!

As per the rules of the contest, the 3 editors of the Streethunters.net website Andrew Sweigart, Digby Fullam and myself, chose one photo each. The next step was to select the very best one of the three and present it here to you.

So, the lucky winner of the July 2017 Street Photoghraphy Contest is Constantinos Arvanitis and this is his photograph.

Hello Streethunters.net Readers!

As mentioned in previous post “Revealing the Monthly Theme Contest New Rules & Prizes for 2017“, this year we have made some changes to the Monthly Theme Contests. The new rules are also included in this post and will be included in each contest post from now on. For your convenience, here are the changes:

What’s changed and what hasn’t in a nutshell

  1. The calendar at the end of the year is being canceled.
  2. The way we select photos remains the same.
  3. The monthly themes are much harder. You will need to work hard.
  4. The prizes the winners receive have changed. Read more below.

Dear StreetHunters.net Readers,

Thank you all for submitting your stunning work! The photos this time round received a total of 142 votes! Your participation both as voters and as contestants is highly appreciated!

So, the time has come to please enjoy the photo of the Winner of the Monthly Theme Contest for July 2014!

Introduction

Dear StreetHunters.net Readers,The time has come for you to vote for the best “The Colour Blue” Street Photograph! We received lot’s of submissions and just managed to filter them a few minutes ago. AndrewCasper and myself had to decide which photos to add to the poll and which not, as we do every month. All the photos that were submitted are great! Thank you all for your participation.

Following the same method as previous months, we have uploaded the images for the Theme contest into a lightbox gallery and under each image we have placed a name (label) that works as a unique identifier. So, what you have to do is to write down or remember the unique identifier of the image you like the most and then vote for that image in the poll below.

As always, we haven’t got any names under the photos. The reason for that is to keep the voting as unbiased as possible.

Introduction

Dear StreetHunters.net Readers!

It is time for the Monthly Theme Contest for July 2014!

The Monthly Theme Contest is a fun activity that anyone can participate in! Every month we choose a Theme. What we ask is for you our StreetHunters.net Readers to participate by each sending to us a Street Photograph at streethunters.net@gmail.com based on that Monthly Theme.

So for example if the theme is Freeze time, then we would like you to each send a photo with a Freeze time moment. Your photo can be taken any time in history, we don’t mind, as long as it has been taken by you and nobody else. Once you send us your picture, we will decide which are the 5 or 6 or 10 best ones and we will post them on our website.
