As we roll into August, the temperatures are rising and so is the amount of work we have here at Streethunters HQ! So… Spyros, Digby and myself are going to take two weeks off to recharge, re-organize and ready ourselves for the coming months. Before the engine overheats, we figure it’s best to let it cool down, change the oil, give it a flush and rotate the tires. Beginning Tuesday, August 15th, www.streethunters.net is taking a little online break!
We’re deep into summer and as the temperatures continue to rise, so does the pile of work we have here at Streethunters HQ! So… Spyros, Digby and myself are going to take a week off to recharge, re-organize and ready ourselves for the coming months.
Call it a “working vacation”, if you will. Spyros will be in London this weekend for the Second Annual Street Hunters Meeting, along with Thomas from Cosyspeed. Back at HQ, Digby and I will be working on posts for your viewing pleasure! Look for more reviews, interviews, crits, monthly theme contests along with all our regular content.

Every summer here at Streethunters.net we like to take a couple of weeks off to relax, reflect on previous months and to do some beach street photography. That time of the year has arrived once more and we will be slowing down for a couple of weeks. Our summer holidays will start tomorrow on the 11th of August and will end on the 24th of August. We will not be posting much during that period.

As you might have guessed, from our latest post “10+1 Fun and Exciting Summer Street Photography Projects!“ we have all be struck by the summer groove, the summer bug or whatever you would like to call this feeling. Summer is upon us and the sea is inviting, the sun is hot, people are in the streets enjoying “outside time” and everything is in the summer, happy, “let’s have a cold beer” mood!
So, I am posting this short announcement today to inform you all that we will be taking a summer break and going into “Radio Silence” mode for a few days. We will not be gone for long, just 10 days. On the 18th of August we will start posting again, starting from our daily “Pic of the Day” and our weekly posts, as you all know them. We have discussed some changes to the routine, nothing crazy, just to get things more in sync with our other activities (work, family, etc). So, from the new season we will be posting on our website, as follows:

The summer is upon us, at least for all of us on the northern hemisphere and everything feels and possibly is more relaxed and toned down. The summer is a perfect time for experimentation, trying out new and exciting things or just moving out of our comfort zones in order to see what will happen. That usually happens automatically by just going on holiday, but as Street Hunters, we can also adjust our Street Photography behavioural patterns to adapt to new habits and situations, just to spice things up.
As you might have guessed, here at StreetHunters.net (here being a virtual plane of existence, since we are everywhere and nowhere but exist as digital information within the matrix of the web) we have had an itch for a break. So, we thought that it would be just great to take a week or two off and recharge our batteries while at the same time shooting Street Photography without the pressure of having to make a good shot in order to share it on a daily basis on our website. Switching to summer mode gives the brain a chance to think on other levels and in different speeds and gives us all the opportunity to take on a fun awesome summer project. A project that doesn’t feel like a project, but more like a game! Great huh?
