Introduction

Dear Readers,

This time around instead of writing a blog post about Street Photography, I will show you a video that I recorded. This video is the first official Street Hunters “Street Hunt”! In other words it is just me walking around, talking a lot and shooting photos!

As you will see in the first minute of the video, I have purchased a small Hot Shoe to Tripod adapter or accessory. So, using that thing I have managed to connect my old beat up Flip Camera to the hot shoe of my NEX-6. That way anything my camera sees, the Flip Cam sees and records while I am on the move.

Watching this video you will get a hands on Street Hunt experience as seen through my eyes and processed through my senses. You will see what I decide to photograph, listen for what reasons I take my photos and how my images finally turn up. The photos that have been made during this Street Photography walk are not all high quality photos that I would easily share in Social Media, but they are part of the experience of this Street Hunt so I am sharing them happily with you. Some of these photos, at least two that I can think of, will be shared as photos in future posts of mine for Street Hunters.

Introduction

Hello dear readers,

Our little group of enthusiastic Street Photographers or “Street Hunters” as we like to call ourselves, has gone through different changes since we first begun a few months ago. We have had Associate Street Hunters join and then leave, we have had an Associate Street Hunter “promoted” to an Official Street Hunter and member of our group and after many jingles and jangles and shifts and shakes we are now 5 of us. 4 members and an Associate. Just so you know we are:

  1. Spyros Papaspyropoulos
  2. Rob Heron
  3. Andrew Sweigart
  4. Casper Macindoe and
  5. Kenneth Lee

The five of us have decided to make some changes to our content that we hope will increase the level of interactivity of our website. We aim to do this by adding some interesting new things to our repertoire. We want to make Street Hunters more engaging and fun for you, our readers, because we want to thank you for all the support you have shown us during these past months.

Introduction

Since I began photography in January I have owned two cameras. My first purchase was a Canon SX240 compact camera and then, in July, I purchased a Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm kit lens along with the 35mm and 50mm 1.8G prime lenses. So, why did I choose a DSLR?

I don’t have any first hand experience with any other types of camera so I would like to talk about why I chose the equipment I did. I will also talk about the positives and negatives I have found so far.

Hello fellow Street Photographers!

Many friends from various parts of the world have requested to join our team during the past month. Up until now www.StreetHunters.net wasn’t ready to grow. But, the time to speed things up has come and for that reason we are letting you all know that we would love to take a look at new Street Hunter candidates!

But what does a Street Hunter have to do?

The minimum requirements for each member of StreetHunters.net are:
