PhosAthens 2019. Version 3 of the PhosAthens Street Photography Festival

PhosAthens v3 – Three times is a charm!

Today we are very excited to announce that PhosAthens is back for the 3rd time

PhosAthens is the original PHOS Street Photography Days festival that started it all in the capital of Greece 3 years ago in November 2017. Since then the Phos franchise has spread its wings across the Balkans in Bucharest and in Sofia with plans of expansion to Belgrade in the near future as well.

If you are new to the PHOS festivals, all you need to know is that it they are dedicated to Street Photography 100%, that is why they are called Street Photography Days. The word Phos {foss}, comes from the actual Greek word ΦΩΣ, which means light, and as we all know, light is everything in photography.

StreetHunters have been part of the organising team since the very first PHOS and we are still very excited to continue doing this! Our role will be to share news and information concerning the PhosAthens festival and to update you in case of any changes, before, during and after the event. An alternative source of info is the official Phos website. If you are a facebook person that likes getting your news through that platform, then make sure you like the PhosAthens Facebook page to get your updates there.

A blockbuster street photography event is on the horizon and its dates on your calendar should definitely be highlighted. Be sure to mark October 28-30 for the Brussels Street Photography Festival!

The festival bills itself as a cultural project whose objective is to promote street photography as an urban research tool, a form of cultural communication and a visual art. And by the looks of what the organizers have plated, it will do just that. The festival’s main ambition is to provide an international platform that looks at Brussels through the fresh eyes of its citizens and engaged photographers, inspired by the city’s urban landscape.
