Inside Dan Berntsson’s Camera bag! (Bag No160)

“Hi Street Hunters,

This is the second time I share my camera bag with Streethunters.net. The first time I shared by bag was 156 bags ago, in 2014 and my camera bag was camera bag No 4!

The bag itself is the same as then, it’s a ”non lookalike camera bag”. It is modified with extra padding and with a partition done by my self so I can put my two babies inside in a safe way. (But I usually leave one camera at home and put a bottle of water there instead).

The news is that I let my daughter use my older X-Pro1 system and I replaced it with a brand new Fujifilm X-100F and yes I’m thrilled with the change!
The X100F is so much smaller and compact, so easy to carry in my hand all day long. The files coming out from it are absolutely stunning. The camera is perfect for street YES!! No doubt about that!

The Olympus 35 SP (https://kenrockwell.com/olympus/35-sp.htm if you are interested) is my true old friend and companion but I rarely take them out together, they always bothering who I like most😂. So one at the time keeps them calm.

And it’s best for me too, at my age I need to be as light as possible because on a long weekend in eg. London or Athens I walk about 40-50km.

Street Hunt 20 - Rethymno Carnival

Dear Streethunters.net Readers,

It has been a while since our last Street Hunt video release but the wait is now over. After a couple months of shooting, organising content and producing this video it is time for you all to enjoy it.

Today, we will take you on a tour of Rethymno city in Crete during the 2016 Carnival day. We start our video in the heart of the carnival parade and just let loose and go with the flow, following the fun around each corner until we reach a most unexpected finale. I say we, because this time the team is made of four street photographers. Digby Fullam editor of Streethunters.net, Dan Berntsson street photographer and good friend from Sweden, Anastasia Nazare street photographer and good friend from Greece and myself.

Keep It Simple by Dan Berntsson Photo 1

The best thing about Street Hunters is that it allows us as a group of photographers to get in touch and interact with like minded street photographers around the world. The friendships and communities we form through Street Hunters on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter allow us to exchange ideas and gain new points of view. Sometimes we’re lucky enough to meet streethunters.net readers in person during streethunts and at the Annual Street Hunters Meeting. Meeting one another in person is an opportunity to cement our friendships – and there’s no awkward getting to know you phase either because we’ve already been talking in the streethunters social media communities!

One of our good friends at Street Hunters is Dan Berntsson from Sweden. Dan is a wonderful friend, and an active member in the street hunters groups and communities. Spyros Papaspyropoulos and I have been lucky to meet Dan when he visited Rethymno, and Dan also attended the First Annual Street Hunters Meeting in London in 2015 too. Dan’s a really laid back guy with a real passion for street photography, and he loves to relax and unwind with a beer too. We get along famously. Dan is a street photographer who likes to work on projects and produce books and e-Books, and for his latest e-Book he wanted to give something back to everyone in the Street Hunters community, so he’s offering his new e-Book to all our readers for free!

Inside Dan Berntsson’s Camera bag! (Bag No4)

Hallo StreetHunters!

My name is Dan Berntsson and I am 51 years old from Sweden. I had many hobbies over the years, but I have come to realize the body cannot do everything, so now I can photograph even more. I love to take pictures of people in different situations and preferably in an urban environment.

I began photographing my family, sunsets and fine landscapes with an Eos 33v and when Canon G10 came out I shoot more and more street photos. I realized that snapping people on the street was the funniest thing I’ve done. When I have been to the streets for a couple of hours I get this flow and I see everything is like a theatre, it’s a great feeling!

The main thing I want with my pictures is to boost your imagination! Anything else is a failure.
