The colour pink winner Tzen Xing

Introduction

Dear Streethunters.net Readers,

September 2017 is over. It is time to announce the winner of the September 2017 Street Photography Contest!

The theme of the contest was “The Colour Pink” and we had asked you all to send in photos with examples of Pink. You responded by sending in loads of photographs! Thank you all for submitting your lovely work!

As per the rules of the contest, the 3 editors of the Streethunters.net website Andrew Sweigart, Digby Fullam and myself, chose one photo each. The next step was to select the very best one of the three and present it here to you.

So, the lucky winner of the September 2017 Street Photoghraphy Contest is Tzen Xing and this is his photograph.

September Nominees for the colour pink

Dear Streethunters.net Readers,

The ninth Monthly Theme Contest photos for 2017 have been submitted and we have made our choices. Please keep in mind that the process of choosing a photo from the September 2017 Street Photography Contest Submissions was quite hard!

But let’s take a look at all the photos that were submitted and accepted in this Monthly Theme Contest.

ATTENTION: This time round we had a lot of submissions again! Many good photos had to stay out because we like keeping our list short at around 30 images. So photos that didn’t meet the Theme or the Editors criteria were not chosen to be in the shortlist. They have been disqualified or removed. If your pic isn’t in the shortlist, don’t get discouraged. Try again next month!

At this moment I would like to thank each and every participant for submitting their photograph. We have a great collection of photos with “The Colour Pink” to show you! This time we had 30 valid submissions which can all be seen below.

Svilen Nachev Street Hunters interview cover

Introduction

The Street Hunters Monthly Theme Contests have produced genuinely exceptional winning shots. We here at HQ expected great work, and, quite honestly, this year’s crop of winners have exceeded our expectations. Through the first five months, Roy Rozanski, Kristof Vande Velde, Christoph Wuzella, Sreejith Kaviyil and Zlatko Vickovic have not only cleared the bar, but also raised it! Needless to say we get a ton of submissions every month, and the work of these previous winners has made us better judges for it!

June found us in the second instalment of a five-month stretch where the Monthly Theme Contests will be focused on colors. May kicked off the run with the color green, which was utterly crushed by Mr. Vickovic. June’s theme was the color red, the most passionate of the primary colors. We were anxious to see if we got flooded again with quality images.

Well, we were swept away by a River of Red! But like we said before, the photo really had to stand out within the constraints of the color theme. A photo with just that color element would not be enough! The cream does indeed rise to the top, and for the month of June, Svilen Nachev has ascended to the peak with a cracking, clever shot that features one boastful banty with a bold red beard!
