“Hello!

I’m happy to share with you my bag’s content. That’s not properly a camera bag as I don’t use such bag, I always try to “voyager léger” as I wander the streets. My name is Nathanaël Fournier. I’m a 36-year-old photographer from France and I’m shooting with film cameras since 2004. The bag on this picture is one of my old fashioned luggage. It allows me to carry clothes and books from town to town and it has a part dedicated to cameras and rolls of film.

Street Photography is my best reason for not having a full-time job !!

My name is Nico Ouburg. Photographing people fascinated me from an early age; when I discovered the work of Ed van der Elsken I realised why. The key to the fascination is life itself. Even so, photography has not been an important aspect of my life for long. Actually, it only became a passion when I bought a digital camera in 2006.

Initially, I called myself a street photographer, but later I realised that I prefer to photograph people. No spectacular street photos, but rather the minor moments of life itself to which you as the observer can add the background.

I am an autodidact, as a photographer I search for my own path by scrutinising the work of others. Today’s photographers who inspire me are Rui Palha, Garry Winogrand , Alex Webb and Vivian Maier. And of course Ed, with his view of life itself.

“Hi Street Hunters,

This is the second time I share my camera bag with Streethunters.net. The first time I shared by bag was 156 bags ago, in 2014 and my camera bag was camera bag No 4!

The bag itself is the same as then, it’s a ”non lookalike camera bag”. It is modified with extra padding and with a partition done by my self so I can put my two babies inside in a safe way. (But I usually leave one camera at home and put a bottle of water there instead).

The news is that I let my daughter use my older X-Pro1 system and I replaced it with a brand new Fujifilm X-100F and yes I’m thrilled with the change!
The X100F is so much smaller and compact, so easy to carry in my hand all day long. The files coming out from it are absolutely stunning. The camera is perfect for street YES!! No doubt about that!

The Olympus 35 SP (https://kenrockwell.com/olympus/35-sp.htm if you are interested) is my true old friend and companion but I rarely take them out together, they always bothering who I like most😂. So one at the time keeps them calm.

And it’s best for me too, at my age I need to be as light as possible because on a long weekend in eg. London or Athens I walk about 40-50km.

Hi Street Hunters,

I am a 43 year old amateur photographer living near Stuttgart in Germany, who was always fascinated by street photography. However I am still considering myself a street photography pussy when approaching people, but I am working on getting more confidence.

On the street I aim to stay as lightweight as possible with my X100F and its great fixed 23mm lens as the only camera in a rather small bag.

Photography will definitely stay a hobby as I enjoy the freedom to experiment with various styles and do what I want to do. The most rewarding part of photography as a hobby is finding a personal balance and the process of slowing down the world, whenever I am seeking beauty in every day’s things through the viewfinder of my camera.
