“Hi there,

My name is Gareth Watkins, originally from the UK, I have spent most of my life in France. For many years I was a staff photographer for Reuters in Paris. After over 20 years in the press, I left the business in 2000. These days I take pictures for myself.

In news, we used big heavy cameras, Nikon F3’s in the film days and large Canon DSLR’s for digital with large zoom lenses. For my own work, I prefer lighter gear. I use Fuji Xpro2’s with 23mm F2 and 50mm F2 lenses, giving me 35mm & 75mm full-frame equivalent. I also have the 35mm F2 and 18mm F2. (50mm & 28mm).

My bag of choice is a Wotancraft Trooper medium and is kind of my man bag… with 2x cameras, batteries, and some SD cards in a case. It is a light set up I carry everywhere.

My camera bag contains:”

“Hi, I am Patryk Stanisz,

36 years old street photographer and also a wedding photographer based in London. I have been living in the UK since 2012 but originally I come from Poland. 99% of my street photographs are about people. It is what interests me the most. Street photography is also a part of my daily training as a wedding photographer. Looking for interesting situations and moments on the street is a great joy. It also helps me to be always ready to shot any unpredictable moments. I love collecting photography albums. I am a photo book addict.

“Hi Streethunters,

My name is Pavlos Iakovidis, and I am a 30 years old street photographer from Kozani, Greece. Now I live in Chania and I am on the streets for practice one year now. I started to shoot every Sunday but I realize everyday life is far more interesting for the concept that I want to follow! I like more the black & white style and I am trying to emphasize the photography that documents social life and human “aware” emotion in real-life. I don’t like to edit my photos a lot because I want to stay as real as possible. I like more to use my Lumix for portraits and I use my d7100 for open shots!

“Hi Streethunters,

I’m Niels Hanssens from the Netherlands and live in Brussels. I’ve been into photography since I was ten but took up street photography in a more serious way about six years ago. Streethunters has been a source of inspiration from the start.

I like to shoot in my spare time in and around Brussels or when I travel for work. What I love about street photography is that it continuously challenges me to look for interesting compositions, lighting, layers, stories etc. Now that we’re obliged to stay indoors because of Covid-19, I realize how addicted I’ve become to my weekly street outings.

I started out with a Sony a6000 with a range of prime lenses but since I got a Ricoh GRii, that has become my preferred camera. I recently bought a secondhand Fuji X100 just for fun but still prefer my Ricoh.

“Hi, Folks!

I’m Alessandro Cipriani, an amateur photographer. I love the road and all the possibilities that SHE  the street (yes, because it is a sentient and living entity, a concrete entity) give me. The TIME. Stop him and contemplate him, that face, the movement of the hands, death; the power to block death, almost a divine being.

After discovering analogue photography in its practical side (development and printing) and spending a few years with the Leica M7, I understood that the perfect system with which I would have been comfortable was the Leica M system,  I decided to sell a large part of my digital equipment and buy a Leica M9, a slow camera with many weak points but which fully reflects my photographic philosophy.

“Hi Streethunters!

My name is Teemu Jarvinen, I do mostly nighttime street photography around Asia. I was born in Finland, but started traveling as a digital nomad in 2014. I took up photography as a hobby in 2015 after I bought my first camera, and slowly over the years grew more and more obsessed with it.

Nowadays I love shooting street photography at night, so I’ve found the Sony a7iii and a few prime lenses to be a great set of equipment for this purpose. Due to my lifestyle as a constant traveler, mirrorless also saves me lots of weight and luggage space, so this camera is ideal for me.
