Introduction

A few days ago we published a post about “10+5 things a Street Photographer can do when in forced lockdown quarantine because of the COVID-19 virus“. When we were writing this post, we already knew that our lives were changing. Introduction

The BSPF 2019 (Brussels Street Photography Festival) is back and is getting ready to showcase some of the best street photographs in its exciting 4th edition that will take place on the 4th and 6th of October 2019!

With increased excitement, the BSPF organisers are announcing some changes to their program. Changes that guarantee to make the festival much more dynamic and interesting than in previous years. So, this year the festival will include exhibitions, lectures, discussions, photo walks, and feedback that will all be available for free and open to all public. For more information on the program, please visit the official BSPF website at https://www.bspfestival.org/.

The second edition of the Brussels Street Photography Festival (BSPF) is opening this Friday, launching a weekend full of street photography goodness including photo contests, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, photo walks, photo feedbacks and more!

The BSPF describes itself as a cultural project whose objective is to promote street photography as an urban research tool, a form of cultural communication and a visual art. Inspired by Brussels’ urban landscape, the festival’s main ambition is to provide an international platform that looks at Brussels through the fresh eyes of its citizens and engaged photographers.

Introduction

The Brussels Street Photography Festival is fast approaching and time to submit photos for the contests is running short!

The BSPF will take place on October 6-8 across several locations in Brussels, and the deadline for Open Call is Tuesday, August 1st. The main exhibition of the BSPF will show the work of the selected finalists from the contests’ entries! The four different street photography contests are: the International Singles, the International Series, the Brussels Singles and the Brussels Series. Winners will be announced during the exhibition opening, on Friday, October 6, 2017. As the contest titles suggest, the International Singles and Series submissions can be photographs taken anywhere in the world. The Brussels Singles and Series submissions must be shot in the Brussels-Capital Region.
