Casper Macindoe

Fellow Street Hunters

It has been my enormous pleasure and privilege to be part and parcel of Street Hunters. Not only has my own practice developed and grown beyond my wildest imaginings but I have had the chance to work with two guys who tirelessly give their all to bring you inspiration, information and ……….. Alas though, it’s time for me to retire from the fray and move my focus from photography to animation.

Channels of communication will of course remain open and should you wish to remain in contact then please by all means drop me a line on caspermacindoe@gmail.com . I hopefully won’t disappear into the ether like a Gandalf of the internet 🙂

Most especially in our G+, I have found the camaraderie between image makers a real surprise, and an honour to be part of and I’m sure the erudite critique, happy backslapping and overwhelming conviviality will very much be missed.

Street Huntes are now on a Summer Break

Introduction

Dear Street Hunters,

As you might have guessed, from our latest post “10+1 Fun and Exciting Summer Street Photography Projects!“ we have all be struck by the summer groove, the summer bug or whatever you would like to call this feeling. Summer is upon us and the sea is inviting, the sun is hot, people are in the streets enjoying “outside time” and everything is in the summer, happy, “let’s have a cold beer” mood!

What’s the plan?

So, I am posting this short announcement today to inform you all that we will be taking a summer break and going into “Radio Silence” mode for a few days. We will not be gone for long, just 10 days. On the 18th of August we will start posting again, starting from our daily “Pic of the Day” and our weekly posts, as you all know them. We have discussed some changes to the routine, nothing crazy, just to get things more in sync with our other activities (work, family, etc). So, from the new season we will be posting on our website, as follows:

Street Hunters video

Introduction

Dear StreetHunters.net Readers,

The other day, Casper, Andrew and myself were having a chat about new creative ideas to share with you. We wanted to do something that would not only be inspiring and creative, but something that would involve you all, something that you could be apart of.

So, Casper came up with the awesome idea of us making a “Hello my name is XXXXXX and I am a Street Hunter” video! We thought about it for about 1 second and that was it! We loved it!

What should you do?

The general idea is that we hope to make a video collage of all of you, our awesome StreetHunters.net Readers, each and every one of you that wishes to participate in this fun process, us included! In this video you will be introducing yourself to the world, saying the following simple lines:

New Feature - Crit My Pic

New Feature in Street Hunters

‘Crit My Pic’

In an effort to aid and abet Street Huner readers, Casper Macindoe will critique your submitted image. A visual critique from his perspective. Submission will be open for 48 hours and you can submit your image for review using the email on the contact page of the Street Hunters.net website. We have a feeling this maybe a popular feature on the site so only one image will be chosen per week and the resulting critique will be posted on the site. We won’t be charging for this service although it will take time and so if you do feel the urge to donate to the site – feel free. You can find donation buttons at the bottom of all pages.

A StreetHunters.net announcement

Introduction

Dear StreetHunters.net Readers,

We have been here since June 2013, sharing our Street Photography knowledge and experiences with you while we ourselves continually learn. Thanks to your amazing support and your wonderful attitude, we have managed to continue to deliver new content (we hope of good quality!) every week!

As you have probably understood by now, besides 1 blog post every Wednesday and 1 Featured Street Photo every Friday, we also make one video a month and try to post little things as well in between. Our Flickr and GooglePlus communities are live with activity and we are enjoying interacting with you, our fantastic readers, every single day! The experience so far has been amazing and we can’t wait to do more!

Andrew, Casper and myself are all doing this because we love Street Photography. We don’t have any real free time, we are fathers, husbands, business owners, creatives and any little free time we have we gladly invest it into the StreetHunters brand to make our website a great resource for Street Photographers all over the world.

Introduction

Hello dear readers,

Our little group of enthusiastic Street Photographers or “Street Hunters” as we like to call ourselves, has gone through different changes since we first begun a few months ago. We have had Associate Street Hunters join and then leave, we have had an Associate Street Hunter “promoted” to an Official Street Hunter and member of our group and after many jingles and jangles and shifts and shakes we are now 5 of us. 4 members and an Associate. Just so you know we are:

  1. Spyros Papaspyropoulos
  2. Rob Heron
  3. Andrew Sweigart
  4. Casper Macindoe and
  5. Kenneth Lee

The five of us have decided to make some changes to our content that we hope will increase the level of interactivity of our website. We aim to do this by adding some interesting new things to our repertoire. We want to make Street Hunters more engaging and fun for you, our readers, because we want to thank you for all the support you have shown us during these past months.
