Inside Hans Severin’s Camera bag! (Bag No52)

Hi, Street Hunters,

My name is Hans Severin and  I was born in 1966. I live and work in Hannover/Germany and started taking digital photography in Paris and London in 2006. My first photographic focus was in areas of architecture and still-/tabletop-photography. Since 2010 I photograph almost exclusively in digital street photography, for some time again in analog photography. I describe myself as a self-taught amateur photographer. In some photo communities of the World Wide Web I appear under my pseudonym ‘KurzstreckenTicket Photography’. In June 2014 I visited Paris and published my eBook ‘Streets Of Paris’. In 2015 I will present my next ‘big project’ in a new eBook, a collection of kiosk photographs from my hometown Hannover/Germany.

My bag contains:

Hans Severin's Camera Bag

  • Bag ‘Matin’
  • Gorillapod
  • My old Canon EOS 400D (with 32 GB inside) with battery grip
  • Tamron 17-50mm
  • Sony Alpha (ILCE) 6000 with 16-50
  • Memory Cards (4x8GB, 16 GB inside)
  • 2 Charging Batteries (for Sony)
  • Handy Samsung S3
  • Business Cards
  • Cleaning Cloth
  • Cigarettes

Greets from Hannover/Germany!

Rules of participation

Each person that submits the contents of his bag will also be allowed 150 words to describe her / him self to the rest of the Readers via the website pages! We will even allow one link, back to your website! It will be loads of fun! Why? Well, because we will start to get to know each other through these small 150 word descriptions and of course through the contents of each one’s bags! Now, when we say Camera Bag, it doesn’t have to literally be a bag. It could be a pouch, a backpack, pockets of a jacket, whatever. All we need is the list of all the contents and a photo of those contents on a wooden or carpeted (preferably) floor from above. What must be included in the email you send us? Here is the list of things you need to provide us with in order to have a valid entry:

  • 150 word description of yourself and your Street Photography quirks, habits, tips, whatever. 150 words MAX.
  • Photo of the contents of your bag and your bag next to those contents on a floor, shot from 90 degrees above. High quality, big size.
  • List of items included in your camera bag.
  • Link to your website OR blog OR facebook page OR GooglePlus page OR whatever.
  • A closing remark 20 words MAX. You can say for example something like Thank for letting me share the contents of my bag, now stop looking into my privates and go take some photos!

We thank you in advance for your participation and we are really looking forward to finding out what YOU are hiding in your camera bags! Send everything in at! Stay Sharp & Keep Shooting!

About “What’s in your camera bag Street Hunter!”

In June 2014  we started sharing the contents of the Camera Bag of one of you, one of our awesome Readers every week! All images and text in these posts are written by the Readers presenting their camera bags.

  1. Interesting kit! But why the Canon with almost the wide angle range then the 16-50mm Sony kit lens? You don’t trust the A6000?

  2. @clbea… my good old canon is now only for the showcase (my 1st dslr, 2006), since I’ve bought the sony alpha 6000, my first mirrorless. and this cam is fantastic for the street photography.
mostly I work only with one cam and one lense. at the end of the year I will bought the sel50 1.8 and/or the sel17-70 4.0. AND: I LIKE THE DISTANCE TO MY OBJECT.
you can take good streets with every kind of camera… if you have the look! 😉
